Children Program Project Based Learning (PBL)

PBL6 Fourth Quarter

The fourth quarter of our Project-Based Learning (PBL) journey commenced with a dual emphasis on English and IT assessments, meticulously designed to measure our students’ progress. The primary objective was to improve their English comprehension and communication skills through innovative play-based activities centred around polite words and kindness. Over the course of seven weeks spanning January, February, and March, a range of activities was conducted targeting English language proficiency and fostering reading habits to enhance creativity and collaboration among the students of grade six (PBL6).

In addition to the academic aspects, Amics del Nepal actively promotes health objectives alignedwith Sustainable Development Goal 3. As part of  this initiative, all students were taken on a sports visit to Dunkmandu, a sports facility, during the quarter.

The quarter’s  final event of PBL6 unfolded on the 7th of March, with an audience composed of Amics staff and interns. Embracing the overall theme of “Polite Words and Kindness”, students working in pairs presented their chart presentation, shared testimonials, and recited a poem on kindness. The students demonstrated poise and confidence during their recitations.

All the students are given a break from Amics after-school classes as they prepare for their schools’ annual examinations. The next session will start on 25th April with the theme of Environment and Sustainability, marking the beginning of the new academic year 2024/25.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
