Trainings, workshops, and development sessions help employees grow their abilities while also giving organisations a chance to boost employee productivity and promote workplace culture. In light of this, Amics del Nepal has been regularly carrying out such activities under its project Development Hour in order to assist staff and interns in developing their skills and fostering strong bonds with one another and with the organisation. The activities include field visits, excursions, attending relevant training and workshops conducted by other organisations, and some important celebrations. While these events only occur sometimes, we regularly conduct internal development sessions where every two weeks our staff and interns give presentations on various topics among themselves. This has been a very effective activity because it has assisted our staff and interns in honing their communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills, as well as gaining knowledge and awareness on specific issues.
A positive outcome of our Development Hour project has been a strong bond between employees as well as a pleasant working environment, both of which are crucial in addition to learning and gaining skills.
