One of the most enjoyable methods to explore and enrich one’s knowledge is by engaging in field visits. Amics del Nepal has been providing such exposure to its beneficiaries. On 16th of December, beneficiaries of the Women Literacy Project in Kathmandu participated in the field visit to the National Botanical Garden. There were a total of 14 beneficiaries along with two staff.
National Botanical Garden is one of the biggest botanical gardens of Nepal which lies in Lalitpur district. It is surrounded by natural evergreen forests, and a natural stream runs through the middle of the garden adding to its beauty. The women observed over 1100 plant species which are conserved in this botanical garden. They also shared their knowledge of plants with each other.The field visit was really informative and effective. Women adored this visit as they relaxed and enjoyed the scenery/greenery, and watched the birds.
