The second mushroom training of Namuna Bari Project was organised during 6th and 7th August at Bhimphedi Balmandir. It was found that in the first mushroom training some information was lacking and was also not documented in the manual book. For this reason, when the first mushroom plantation finished, the second mushroom training was conducted with the objective of developing knowledge among the participants to improve the oyster mushroom cultivation.
A total number of 10 participants attended the training. In the training, concerns regarding about air, temperature, humidity, light, life cycle, cultivation process, species, diseases and use of pesticides in mushrooms were discussed. The training was conducted through a theoretical approach using visual cues so that the participants could learn effectively. An updated mushroom manual book and a pamphlet were also provided to the participants. The second mushroom plantation is scheduled for September.
The Namuna Bari project is made possible by the support of Ateneu del Món and the City Council of Sant Quirze del Vallès
