Rejection was part of my life but not anymore!

Amics Activity Center has offered IT Classes for the community people since November 2017. It is a great opportunity for all the teenagers and women that cannot afford a course in an academy, as they can learn how to manage different software from basic office programs to photography and video edition. The main purpose of this IT class is to give the required knowledge necessary to get a job in the nowadays world.
We will continue offering this service to our community.
Here we have a personal story of one of our students:

Rejection was part of my life but not anymore!

“ Namaste! My name is Parbati Dhakal. I study in the University I am in my third year. I studied in a government school in a village and I moved to Kathmandu to continue my studies. It was an imperial need for me to have a job but I had never been exposed to any computer learning before. I got rejected for every job I applied for, even if I spoke and wrote a very good English, IT skills were fundamental for any post. This brought me really down and lost my hope. I would have joined IT classes but unfortunately I didn’t have enough money to pay for my studies, my livelihood and all my expenses. Kathmandu is not a cheap city. All at sudden I discovered Amics del Nepal Activity Center and I joined the IT Classes where I could learn for free how to type and navigate in Internet, creating my email address as well as office programs. It has been a wonderful opportunity, now I am able to face basic office environment software and I feel more prepared to apply for jobs.
