Amics del Nepal has always provided various field visits, workshops, and exposure to their beneficiaries where they can gain life skills and develop their personalities. Last year, Amics began a swimming course for EL students aimed at teaching them essential survival skills while enhancing their physical and emotional well-being.
Continuing this initiative, on 9th June, EL 8 students began their 20-day swimming course at Divya Complex and Hospitality. To ensure a proper start to the course, students were provided with swimming costumes, goggles, and dome caps. Students received their swimming lessons according to their flexible time that fit their school schedules, either in the morning or afternoon. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the students embraced the challenges and learned different swim techniques. The course also provided them with a platform for developing personal growth, building resilience, and promoting teamwork. This initiative by Amics del Nepal reflected their approach to holistic development, empowering the children with lifelong skills and enhancing their educational journey.
Every year, Amics will conduct a swimming course for EL 8 students to develop basic life skills, aligning with Amics’ health goal and SDG 3 of living in a loving, caring, and hygienic environment. The next EL8 swimming course is planned for the year 2025.
This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
