Development Hour Youth Program

Staff field visit to Kirtipur

Development of staff and interns has always been one of the primary goals of Amics del Nepal. With the initiation of Development Hour in 2019 under Youth Project, the staff and interns are being provided exposure to various diverse training and workshops, and field visits. These exposures have always brought each staff closer to their external environment, fostering a deeper understanding of their surroundings and teams and enriching their professional and personal  experiences.

On 3rd January, the staff and interns from Kathmandu Activity Centre went on a field trip to Kirtipur. The trip acted as a refreshing activity to mark the start of 2024 and to enhance stronger connections and bonds among team members. Kirtipur is one of the historical places known for its architectural design and Newari culture and traditional jatras. Throughout the visit, all the staff and interns observed beautiful carvings and designs on the temples. The historic landmarks, including the Bagh Bhairav temple captured the attention and admiration of everyone. While walking through Kirtipur, the team also witnessed the panoramic views of the Kathmandu valley. Lastly, the trip ended with a delicious newari lunch at one of the popular Newar restro known for its cultural and traditional ambiance.

In conclusion, the visit to Kirtipur deepened our appreciation for its history and architecture and fostered stronger bonds among staff and interns, with shared experiences and cherished memories.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
