Children Program Experiential Learning (EL)

EL Swimming Course 2023

Amics del Nepal has always provided various kinds of exposure, field visits, and workshops to their beneficiaries. They gain life skills and develop their personalities through these activities which are essential for a better future in the modern world. Among many life skills, swimming is also one of the most essential skills that a person should possess.

From 29th September, students of Experiential Learning (EL) who are currently undergoing their 3rd quarter (Child Rights) are receiving swimming courses at Divya Complex, located at Nayabasti, Boudha. This course lasts for 20 days. Due to their school schedules, children are taking this course in two shifts: morning and evening. Each student is provided with a swimming costume and glasses. They will receive one hour of training from a swimming coach every day, excluding Saturdays. The major goal of this course is to provide them with one of the most important life skills which is swimming. Additionally, because they are taking the course together, their ability to collaborate and  care for each other will improve.

Furthermore, this swimming course aligns with the quarter’s theme of children’s rights, including the right to play, exercise, and entertainment. Amics del Nepal’s approach to education and skill development continues to empower its beneficiaries with not only life skills but also an understanding of their rights as children.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
