Amics del Nepal Social Week youth conducted a closing of 6 week long Social Week 11.B session on 17th December, 2022. The session was carried out with the theme “solidarity.” Social Week youth were involved in various activities such as research, planning, implementation, and presentation in order to get them acquainted with the understanding of the theme. We started the session on 7th November, 2022.
The main objective of the session was to provide knowledge to the youth about designing and implementation of workshops in different schools and to encourage solidarity on the topic of “solid waste management.” During the session, youth conducted 4 workshops in two schools of Lalitpur with 250 plus students. As a final product of the session, youth presented their experience and learnings of the 6 week long session and how their goal to create solidarity among the students were met. The audience consisted of Amics Experiential Learning students from grades 8 to 10 as well as some youth’s parents.
The next session will be based on the theme “Women’s Rights” where students will explore social injustice, inequalities, and ways to motivate women through social entrepreneurship.
