Once again, we want to bring Nepal near to you, a country that will make you fall in love, especially for its people, but also for its mountains and landscapes.
This year we will climb the highest mountains with a very special guest. We will share the evening with Sergi Mingote, a climber who combines sport with solidarity. As a mountaineer, he has done more than 20 expeditions around the world. Last year after conquering the summit of Ama Dablam (6812m) he visited, with his team, Balmandir in Bhimphedi. The whole adventure resulted in a documentary that we want to share with all of you.
At present, Sergi Mingote is immersed in a new solidarity project: 3×8000, which brought him to Nepal this autumn when he made the summit of Manaslu (8,163m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167m). These two successes, added to Broad Peak (8,051m) and K2 (8,611m) he made last summer, add to four summits of the six “eight thousand” planned for a period of less than one year. If Mingote succeeds next spring to make the summits of Kanchenjunga (8,586m) and Everest (8,848m), he will become the first mountaineer to climb the three highest mountains in the world in only one year.
Surely his experiences will not leave us indifferent and will be another way of approaching us to Nepal, a fascinating country.
And like every year, you can take use the opportunity to know more about the works carried out by Amics del Nepal in 2018 and to acquire calendars, lottery, new color t-shirts and solidarity gifts for Christmas.
Finally we will celebrate the party with some Nepalese snacks.
Do not miss it! we want to see you!
