On July 6th, an Environment and Sustainability Workshop was held at Patan Children’s Home, engaging 13 youths from SW11 with students of Children’s Home from grade KG to grade 10. The session was structured by dividing the students into two groups: juniors up to grade 6 and seniors from grade 7 to 10. The younger students were asked to draw their understanding of the environment, while the older students selected a theme related to the environment and were provided with resources mostly pictures, colours, chart papers to creatively showcase their ideas about Environment.
The new SW11 youths, employing a hands-on teaching style, clearly demonstrated the activities and assisted the students in expressing themselves through art and crafts. The children at Patan Children’s Home participated enthusiastically, presenting their ideas with great enthusiasm. This practical approach not only educated the children but also offered them a fresh perspective. The learning experience was well-received by the kids, who showed real excitement and engagement throughout the workshop.
