Eye Checkup of Women Literacy Project Beneficiaries

On 5th of February, Amics del Nepal collaborated with the Drishti Eye Clinic for the eye checkup of the beneficiaries of the Women Literacy Project. The main objective of this event was to inform beneficiaries about their eye condition, eye health, and prevent any future blindness and visual impairment by supporting them with the necessary treatments. Since most of the women were over 40, nearly all of them appeared to have some vision problem. Nevertheless, all 16 of the women had the opportunity to have their eyes checked. In addition, women were also given access to medicines and eyeglasses. Considering how important it is to have healthy eyes, this event was really effective. Amics del Nepal will continue to provide health incentives such as conducting eye checkup for every new woman beneficiary in the program.
Amics del Nepal is committed to fostering sustainable development in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This support directly contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. It not only contributes to SDG 3 but also empowers women to lead healthier, more productive lives. Improved vision enables women to better care for themselves and their families, participate more fully in education and employment opportunities, and actively engage in their communities.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
