Children Program Experiential Learning (EL)

EL Family Meeting and Contract Signing

A family meeting was held with the parents of the Experiential Learning (EL) on the 9th of March 2024 to sign the project clause for the upcoming academic year 2024/25. The primary objective of this meeting was to ensure that both the beneficiaries and their families comprehensively understood the terms and conditions outlined in the project clause for the new EL session. Additionally, the meeting provided a platform for the families to address any concerns they might have had regarding the contract which then led to a brief discussion concerning the student’s progress and challenges.

The meeting was held at the Amics Activity Centre where parents from current project-based learning beneficiaries of grade seven (PBL 7) and EL beneficiaries from grades eight and nine (EL 8 and EL 9) were in attendance along with their parents. However, EL 10 students and their families could not participate as they would be transitioning out of the EL project to the Social Week project of the youth program for the upcoming year. As the meeting progressed, the parents were prompted to share their experiences and queries, thereby enhancing the engagement of the session. This marked the culmination of the final EL family meeting for the academic year 2080 (2023/24), concluding with the signing of new terms and conditions for the upcoming academic year 2081 (2024/25). The PBL 7 beneficiaries and their families set to join the EL project signed the agreement for EL8, while EL 8 participants progressed to EL 9, and EL 9 participants advanced to EL 10.
