PBL 7 Field Visit to Mandala Theatre

On 28th February 2025, a field visit to Mandala Theatre was conducted with the students of PBL7. A total of ten students and three staff members participated in this enriching experience. The main objective of the visit was to provide students with exposure to theatrical storytelling while deepening their understanding of women’s struggles, aligning with this quarter’s theme of women’s rights.

The students watched a play called Jun Ta Lagyo Tara Le. The play unfolded with a powerful narrative centered around Bhumi, a young girl who experiences cycles of trust, separation, and longing. The performance depicted the emotional and societal burdens placed on women, illustrating how relationships often become one-sided and weighed down by societal obligations.

Throughout the play, students were captivated by the raw emotions portrayed on stage. They connected deeply with Bhumi’s struggles, reflecting on how personal experiences and societal norms shape women’s lives. The impactful storytelling evoked both laughter and sadness, leaving a lasting impression on the students.

Following the performance, the students had the opportunity to engage with the cast and discuss their experiences. This interaction enriched their understanding of the power of theater as a medium for social awareness and change.

Amics del Nepal remains committed to organizing field visits that foster critical thinking, social awareness, and experiential learning. These visits serve as valuable platforms for students to engage with real-world narratives, broadening their perspectives and deepening their knowledge beyond the classroom.
