Children Program Experiential Learning (EL)

EL Fourth Quarter Final Event and Closing

The Children Program’s Experiential Learning project (EL), with a focus on women’s rights, concluded with a special event on March 9th after a ten-week session. Throughout this quarter, EL students engaged in a variety of theme-based activities including debate, movie, presentation, video-making, and field visit. The aim was to encourage the students to advocate for women while providing a platform to enhance their communication and public speaking skills.

In the final event, the students exhibited their learning through presentations, poems, art, and video, celebrating and supporting the achievements and contributions of women throughout history and in contemporary society. It began with a short video advocating for women’s rights, created by EL students in honor of International Women’s Day and to challenge gender stereotypes. Alongside the video, the students presented their learnings from the fourth quarter’s theme on women’s rights, paying tribute to influential women in society. Some also shared poems and art, expressing gratitude and drawing inspiration from the women who have impacted their lives, such as mothers and sisters. The audience thoroughly enjoyed these heartfelt expressions.

As the event wrapped up, participants, including parents of the students, provided valuable feedback on the performances. The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony to mark both International Women’s Day and the conclusion of this year’s Experiential Learning sessions. New sessions are set to begin in April 2024, coinciding with the start of the new academic year 2023/24.
