Amics del Nepal conducted a Family Meetings with the parents of new PBL6, PBL7, and EL beneficiaries with the aim of strengthening connections between families and the program, while ensuring clarity on expectations, responsibilities, and future goals.
For new students enrolled in Project-Based Learning Level 6 (PBL6), the sessions served as an orientation. Families were introduced to Children’s Home and informed about the Amics Grant. The orientation also covered our Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach, which focuses on hands-on learning through real-life projects. We explained the Project Clause, outlining student responsibilities in terms of attendance, behavior, and learning expectations. The goal was to help new families understand how the program supports both academic and personal growth, and how they can take an active role in their child’s educational journey.
For continuing students in PBL7 and the Experiential Learning (EL) program, the meetings provided an opportunity for reflection and reorientation. We reviewed activities and outcomes from the previous academic year, discussed students’ progress and challenges, and shared plans for the year ahead. These sessions helped reinforce the importance of regular attendance, good behavior, and strong parental support. Contract Renewals were also completed during the sessions to confirm families’ continued engagement and understanding of the program.
Overall, the Family Meetings fostered open communication and strengthened our partnership with families – an essential foundation for the success of our students.
We sincerely thank all parents and guardians for their time, presence, and active participation. Your support is vital to the impact of our educational programs.
