Social Hours (SH) Youth Program

Start of Internship Placement

Bishwo Rai and Som Bahadur Tami, Grade 12 students in the Social Hour Project, recently started their internship at Hotel Muddita. Som, interested in kitchen work, was placed in the kitchen to assist with food preparation, while Bishwo, drawn to food and beverage service, was assigned to that department. Their placements align with their interests, providing hands-on learning experiences.

Through this internship, Som is gaining culinary skills and understanding kitchen operations, while Bishwo is learning about customer service and hospitality. This practical exposure helps them develop essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which will benefit their future careers. Their performance during the internship will be monitored, and feedback will be provided to the coordinator to track their progress and growth.

The internship also meets an important requirement for their Social Hour program. Through their participation, Som and Bishwo are fulfilling academic responsibilities while gaining practical experience for future endeavors. Their time at Hotel Muddita offers valuable insights and skills that will contribute to their educational and professional growth.
