Staff Visit to Himgiri Permaculture Farm

On March 16th, all the staff of Amics Activity Centre visited Himgiri Permaculture Farm as part of their staff development training. The visit provided a refreshing break from their busy schedules while also offering an opportunity to strengthen their bond and gain insights into permaculture farming.

The visit began with a scenic 45-minute walk up the road to Himgiri Permaculture Farm, where the staff were warmly welcomed with a refreshing cup of tea. The manager of the farm then guided us on a farm tour, explaining the cultivation of various crops and sustainable farming techniques. At the top of the farm, a lively Q&A session took place, with staff eagerly engaging in discussions. The tour continued with a delightful hands-on experience by picking fresh strawberries straight from the plants. After the visit, everyone gathered for a wholesome organic lunch before concluding the trip with group photos.

Overall, it was a truly meaningful and enjoyable visit, providing the staff with a much-needed peaceful break from their routine. Engaging in such activities not only helps strengthen bonds among the team but also offers an opportunity to explore new environments. Experiences like these foster teamwork, refresh the mind, and foster a deeper connection among the colleagues.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
