On March 8, 2025, the Expansion Program (EP) team conducted the closing event for Women Hub (WH) 2024. The primary objective of the event was to highlight the key activities carried out during WH 2024, recognise the achievements of the beneficiaries, and introduce the WH project to potential candidates for the 2025 cycle. The event also aimed to identify new participants from the current women network of Children’s Home-Amics del Nepal (CH-AN) beneficiaries and beyond.
As the event coincided with International Women’s Day, it began with a celebration honoring the women of Amics. Fourteen women beneficiaries attended the event which included participants from both WH and the Women Literacy Project (WLP). The five recipients of the Women Livelihood Grant 2024 shared their experiences of being part of WH, showcasing the products they created after completing their training. The presentation highlighted their skills, progress, and personal growth. In order to acknowledge the dedication and hard work, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the 10 participants of the Women Hub.
Towards the end of the program, the EP team introduced WH 2025, discussing its timeline and the criteria for participation. This session aimed to generate interest among a larger group, encouraging potential candidates from CH-AN’s women’s networks and beyond to apply for the upcoming cycle. Additionally, the WLP group performed a song, adding a celebratory touch to the event. The program concluded with closing remarks from the Program Director.
The WH 2024 closing event successfully celebrated the accomplishments of the beneficiaries while setting the stage for WH 2025. By recognizing the participants’ progress and engaging potential new members, the event reinforced the program’s impact and its ongoing commitment to empowering women through livelihood development by focusing on knowledge, skills, and network.
