On February 19th, as part of Social Week 11.C, focused on Women’s Rights and Social Entrepreneurship, the youth participants visited the Rokpas Women Workshop in Boudha. The field trip aimed to offer the youths a closer look at how the workshop empowers women both socially and economically. The visit allowed them to see firsthand how Rokpa’s initiatives create meaningful change for women in the community.
During the visit, the youths explored the workshop and observed the skills being developed by the women. They also had the chance to visit the Rokpa shop, where the products made by the trainees were being sold, gaining insight into the economic opportunities provided by the workshop. Additionally, the youths had one-on-one conversations with the trainees, learning about their personal journeys and experiences. It was an engaging and educational experience for everyone involved, offering a deeper understanding of the impact of the workshop.
The youths had a great time at the workshop, learning not just about social entrepreneurship but also to connect to real-world projects that have a positive impact on society. These experiences help youth develop a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to meaningful social change in their own communities.
