On February 8th, a mid-event focused on Women’s Rights was conducted as part of the second theme of the 2025/26 Experiential Learning (EL) program at the Amics del Nepal Activity Center.
The goal of this theme was to help students develop critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork while learning about the myths, facts, challenges, and stereotypes surrounding women’s rights.
During the event, the students confidently presented their learning. They talked about women’s challenges, the progress made over the years, and how these issues affect society. Students also discussed the positive changes that have taken place, giving various examples such as improved access to education for girls, the increasing number of women in leadership roles, independence and the growing awareness about gender equality in communities.. They provided insightful answers to the audience’s questions, showcasing their deep understanding of the topic. Gave such thoughtful answers to the audience’s questions, showing how deeply they had understood the topic.
Each student took a turn sharing their experiences from the session, and it was inspiring. The staff, interns, and fellow students gave helpful feedback and words of encouragement, making the event feel even more meaningful.
Grade 10 students also joined the event to support their friends. Although they don’t attend classes regularly due to their hectic school schedule, they were excited to witness the presentations and appreciated the efforts and progress made by their classmates. Their presence added to the event’s energy and enthusiasm.
The event ended on a happy note with students feeling accomplished and proud of how far they had come. It was a celebration of their hard work, curiosity, and dedication to learning and promoting women’s rights.
The Women’s Rights theme helped students build knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills to advocate for equality and raise awareness. Amics will continue providing such experiential learning opportunities while launching new projects to foster personal growth, creativity, and social awareness among youth.
