Amics youth successfully conducted the final event for the 11-week-long session on 11th January 2025. This session was themed “Solidarity and Fundraising” and focused on equipping youth the essence of solidarity while providing them with the tools for fundraising. In alignment with our commitment to fostering the 5Cs—Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Caring the program aimed to help youth integrate these principles into their learning and practical activities.
The event brought together 13 participating youth who actively engaged in showcasing their learning and achievements. The program began with a brief introduction to the theme, followed by a lively cultural welcome dance to set the tone and pursue solidarity. Presentations on the PBL (Project-Based Learning) approach and the 5Cs highlighted how these frameworks were applied during the quarter. A presentation on waste management followed, emphasizing its importance in daily life, accompanied by a hands-on demonstration of paper recycling techniques. The youth also showcased creative products made from recycled paper, including bookmarks, paper bags, pen holders, and diaries. These items are planned to be used for fundraising purposes, exemplifying the theme of solidarity in action.
The event concluded with a vibrant cultural closing dance and a session for queries and feedback. The collaborative efforts of all the youth resulted in an insightful and impactful program, enhancing both practical skills and understanding of the theme. This session demonstrated the importance of solidarity and resourcefulness, fostering meaningful learning experiences.
