Youth Sport Visit to Dunkmandu

On December 31, 2024, a group of 11 students from grade 11 and 9 students from grade 12 participated in a sports visit to Dunkmandu, a premier sports facility located in Simaltar, Kathmandu. Organized by Amics Activity Centre, this visit was part of the Social Week and Social Hour sessions and aimed to promote physical well-being while fostering meaningful connections between the two grades. The event provided a valuable platform for students to meet, build social relationships, and learn from one another through collaborative sports activities.

The day began with an engaging basketball session, followed by an energetic football game, where students worked together in teams, showcasing their communication and teamwork skills. These activities went beyond physical exercise, serving as an opportunity for the two grades to connect on a personal level, break down barriers, and build a sense of camaraderie. Grade 12 students had the chance to guide and mentor their juniors, while grade 11 students learned from their seniors’ experiences and leadership. This dynamic interaction encouraged empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect, fostering social relationships and shared learning.

After the sports sessions, participants gathered for refreshments, providing a relaxed environment to reflect on their experiences and strengthen their bonds. This informal setting further emphasized the importance of solidarity, offering a space for the students to share their perspectives and connect meaningfully. The visit exemplified Amics del Nepal’s commitment to holistic education by combining physical activities with social development, allowing students to build stronger relationships and learn valuable life skills that will benefit them in their personal and academic journeys.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics de Nepal and the collaborating partners:
