On 26th December, a Health and Wellness Workshop titled “A Heart for a Healthy Life” was conducted for PBL students of grades 6 & 7. The workshop aimed to educate students on cardiovascular health and inspire them to adopt hearth healthy habits. The session combined informative discussions, and engaging visuals to ensure effective learning.
The workshop began with an overview of the heart’s structure and its essential role in the circulatory system. Students learned about cardiovascular health, common heart related diseases, and the importance of preventive measures like balanced nutrition, regular exercise, stress management, and avoiding harmful habits. Interactive Q&A sessions and fun facts kept the students actively engaged throughout.
In addition to the educational session, a winter hygiene pack and clothes distribution was organised. Students received essential winter hygiene items containing body lotion, nasal balm, lip balm, hot bag, tissue paper, thermal flask and warm clothing to promote overall well being during the winter season. This initiative fostered a sense of care among the young learners.
This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
