WLP Field Visit to Taragaon Museum

Amics del Nepal has always been dedicated to providing its beneficiaries with opportunities for exploration and knowledge enrichment through various activities. As part of this effort, the beneficiaries of the Women Literacy Project visited the Taragaon Museum on 23rd November with 12 participants including two Amics staff. They had the opportunity to view amazing ink artworks, culture and the lifestyle of people of a period before everything was replaced by modern technologies.

During the visit, the women enjoyed looking at beautiful paintings, each with its own story. These paintings were made using different materials like ink, pencils, and watercolours. The visit was also a chance for the participants to connect with each other, share information, laugh, and talk about their experiences. After the museum tour, everyone had snacks and shared their thoughts and findings about the visit.  The trip helped the beneficiaries learn about Nepali art, culture, and the way people lived in the past while also building their social connections.

Overall, the visit was both delightful and educational for everyone. Amics del Nepal will continue to organize such field visits to help beneficiaries learn and grow through experiences.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
