Children Program Experiential Learning (EL)

EL Session on Women’s Rights Begins

The session of the Experiential Learning (EL) project on Women’s Rights began on November 9, 2024, at the Amics Activity Centre. In this session, students from grades eight and nine explored the history of women’s rights, gained an understanding of feminism, and learned about women’s rights. They also discussed the importance of women’s rights, engaged in activities to identify the challenges women face today, and brainstormed solutions to these issues. The student’s curiosity and eagerness to learn more about social norms and gender stereotypes highlighted their commitment to understanding the ongoing struggle for gender equality.

On the first day, students started their new EL session with fun, energising activities that helped them build teamwork. This session was designed to make learning enjoyable and inspire students to think creatively. It set a positive and exciting tone for the journey ahead as they began exploring the important topic of women’s rights. After finishing their class activity, they shared their artwork and explained how it reflected their understanding and view of women and the concept of womanhood. The activity helped the students to express themselves and think more about the importance of women in society.

These sessions take place every Saturday at the Amics Activity Centre, featuring theme-based activities designed to make learning enjoyable with the  aim to make learning fun by encouraging. The upcoming EL sessions will continue to focus on women’s rights, helping students better understand the challenges faced by the women in society.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
