Children Program Experiential Learning (EL)

EL Final Event on Environment and Sustainability

On September 28th, a final event centered on the theme of Environment and Sustainability took place, focusing specifically on waste management and the challenges of plastic and packaging. This event marked the culmination of the first theme of the 2024/25 academic year for the Experiential Learning (EL) program. Throughout this period, EL students participated in a range of activities, including presentations, dramas, films, a health workshop, a speaker session, and field visits. The aim was to not only educate students about current environmental issues and sustainable solutions but also to inspire responsible behavior and foster a commitment to change.

During the final event, students showcased their learnings through engaging presentations, performances, and music that highlighted environmental sustainability, waste management, and the implications of plastic usage. Their work highlighted the serious consequences of environmental degradation resulting from littering and excessive plastic consumption, emphasizing the collective responsibility to address these challenges. The event was held at the Amics del Nepal activity center, where staff, interns, and parents of beneficiaries came together to participate. Two enthusiastic EL students served as hosts, guiding the audience through the program and inviting valuable feedback. Additionally, the EL 10 students shared their experiences with Amics del Nepal, enriching the event’s engagement.

The event concluded with a question and answer session followed by a lively dance performance. Looking ahead, the upcoming Experiential Learning sessions will focus on Women’s Rights, resuming after the Dashain and Tihar holidays, offering students a chance to learn about and advocate for women’s rights.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
