The third quarter of our Project-Based Learning (PBL) initiative commenced with a dedicated focus on English assessments designed to evaluate and track the developmental progress of our students. This phase of learning is characterized by innovative group art projects centered around the overarching theme of “Solidarity,” aiming to raise awareness and encourage active participation among PBL6 students. These collaborative projects promote teamwork, critical thinking, and creative expression, facilitating both intellectual and emotional growth.
Meanwhile, PBL7 students are enhancing their creativity and comprehension skills through play-based activities aligned with narrative writing. These activities are part of their preparation for the upcoming DocFest video, integrating creative storytelling with their English subject curriculum.
The thematic focus on “Solidarity” has further been enriched by the involvement of an external art teacher, who brings fresh perspectives and expertise in drawing and painting. Under their guidance, students are exploring the intersection of art and handicrafts, producing works that embody their understanding of solidarity and community. This six-week session, which began on December 10th, includes two classes per week, providing ample opportunities for students to refine their artistic talents and collaborate with peers.
Through this holistic approach, we are integrating creative expression with the development of the 5 C’s (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Compassion). This method aims to nurture empathetic and socially conscious learners who are equipped with both practical skills and a profound understanding of community values.
As we continue this transformative educational journey, we are proud of the strides our students are making. By placing creativity and solidarity at the core of our endeavors, we are shaping a vibrant learning community that transcends traditional boundaries and fosters meaningful connections.
We look forward to the continued growth of our students and their active engagement in these enriching experiences.
