On 29th May, a field visit to the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMFF) at Rastriya Sabha Griha, Bhrikutimandap, was conducted for the After SEE Course students. A group of 13 youths, accompanied by several staff members, participated in this enriching experience. The visit aimed to expose students to the power of creativity and collaboration through the medium of film storytelling. KIMFF presented a wide ranging mix of films from around the world, focusing on mountain communities and cultures, offering the students a unique cultural and educational perspective. They viewed impactful short films such as “Nepali Fiction,” “Nothing Grows Under The Pine Trees,” and “Into the Heart of the Mountain.” These films, a combination of national and international productions, carried significant messages and themes that resonated with the students’ educational content and cultural stories.
