WLP Field Visit to Narayanhiti Palace Museum

On 27th of July, a field visit was conducted with the beneficiaries of Women Literacy Project (WLP). Women were taken to one of the historical places of Nepal; Narayanhiti Palace Museum. The main objective of this visit is to provide more exposure to the women in order to enrich their knowledge and learning. Narayanhiti Palace Museum is established in the backdrop of the beginning of The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. It used to be the home of all the Shah rulers of Nepal. Women observed various artistic and cultural treasures of Nepal such as: the royal crown, the royal state coach, and many more amazing things. Besides that, they also observed all the decor and lifestyle enjoyed by royals within the walls of the palace.

This visit gave some glimpse and reflection of our history to the women. This visit was an enriching experience, offering a chance to learn about our country’s rich history and royal traditions. As most of the women haven’t visited museums in their entire life, this was a wonderful experience for them.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
