Children Program Experiential Learning (EL)

EL Classes Start 2024/25

The Amics Experiential Learning (EL) session for the academic year 2024/25 began on April 27, 2024, at the Activity Centre, aiming to enhance students’ learning and life skills through real-world exploration and engaging activities. This year, the EL project includes 22 students from grades eight, nine, and ten, emphasising on two themed sessions. The first session will be based on the theme of environment and sustainability where the students will learn to identify environmental problems and critically analyse them to develop sustainable solutions. Additionally, field visits and guest speaker sessions will be conducted to support their learning.

The EL classes are held every Saturday at the Amics Activity Centre guided by theme-based activities designed to fit student’s schedules. This session on environment and sustainability will run until September, while the second theme will be covered in the latter half of the academic year, concluding in March. Throughout the year, students will have a platform to enhance their 5Cs skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and caring), either individually or in groups. On the first day, the students were oriented to their new EL session with fun energizing activities, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and social bonds among the students. The first themed session also embraces the purpose of making learning enjoyable and encouraging students to be creative and think critically. Upcoming sessions will continue to focus on the environment and sustainability, helping students understand and address ongoing environmental issues.

This project is possible thanks to the support of all the members of Amics del Nepal and the collaborating partners:
