We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the Youth Program at Amics del Nepal’s final quarter, concluding with an enriching five-week session on March 8th, 2024. This session was centred on the theme Women’s Rights and Social Entrepreneurship, engaging our youth in meaningful learning experiences. Throughout the session, our youths actively took part in a range of activities, such as research, insightful film screenings, learning effective interview techniques, conducting interviews with notable individuals, and documenting their findings meticulously.
The session’s highlight was the final event held at the Amics Activity Centre on March 8th, coinciding with International Women’s Day. This event, attended by our youth, interns, office staff, and esteemed guests, showcased the culmination of our participants’ efforts. Themes explored included “Women in Business” and “Women and Empowerment,” accompanied by inspiring interviews which youths took of Pasanga Thapa Magar, Nima Yangchan Hyalamo, Aakanshya GC Bhujel, and Laxmi Magar, highlighting their impactful contributions. The event also featured performances by our talented youth, adding a vibrant touch to the celebration.
The event concluded with a token of appreciation distribution, a symbolic cake cutting ceremony, and a thoughtful handprint activity where attendees shared their insights on the importance of supporting women and celebrating their achievements. This event not only demonstrated the dedication and growth of our youth but also emphasised the significance of empowering women and recognizing their vital roles in society. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to inspire positive change through our programs.
