Closing of the After SEE Course

The After SEE Course is an eight-week educational project of Amics del Nepal designed for the students who appeared in the SEE (Secondary Education Examination). The participants of the project are students who gave the examination from the government schools and beneficiaries of Amics del Nepal promoted from the Experiential Learning project.

The project intends to help young people during this time of transition to improve their personal and social life skills of 5C (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Caring) in order to get them ready for high school.

Environment and Sustainability was the theme for the session where students were exposed to the concept of environment, global warming, and sustainability through researches, guest speaker sessions, and field visits. Solid waste management and waste segregation was other important topic covered during the session, and students were able to create a school workshop on the same topic.

The final event of the session was conducted on July 16th, where students presented a brief exhibition about global warming. They created a prototype of global warming and displayed information on how it is affecting people around the world. In addition, images and videos were also presented at the event, to provide more context for the topic. After the completion of the After SEE Course, students will move on to the second session based on the theme “Youth Awareness and Civic Rights” starting on the 8th of August.
